MEET THE ADVISORS
Ben formed Allen Tomas & Co Financial Management in early 2013, having joined the financial services industry in 1998. Ben is the Managing Director of the Company and a qualified Independent Financial Adviser, who holds advanced papers in Taxation & Trusts, Pensions and the Financial Planning Process. He spent several years as a Corporate Financial Adviser providing advice to Business Owners and Staff on employee benefits and pensions. He strongly believes in building long and loyal relationships with clients and their families through trust, detailed analysis, cash flow planning and understanding. His areas of professionalism include Retirement & Investment planning, Financial protection, Trust & Estate planning and Long Term Care.
His passions are his family including his Labrador, good food, the Norfolk coast, watching rugby and playing tennis.
Michael joined the industry in 2012 and quickly gained his Diploma in Financial Planning. Since then he has been working with both private and corporate individuals, advising them on all areas of financial planning and supporting them through various life stages. Michael is our youngest adviser which uniquely places him to look after our clients for many years to come. His ethos is to build strong relationships with his clients, local accountants and solicitors, whilst developing his own technical knowledge to ensure a holistic approach is followed and better client outcomes are achieved.
Michael is also working towards Chartered Financial Planner status and is just two exams away from obtaining this, upon completion he will become one of the youngest advisers to do so in the country.
He is a great lover of cricket and competes to a high standard locally in Norfolk, he also enjoys various other sports including golf and football.
In his spare time he enjoys long walks with his young Dachshund "Bernie".
Edward graduated from Keele University in 1973 with a Degree in Law & Psychology and is fully Level 4 Qualified as an IFA. He worked on the Foreign Exchange (Forex) and traded in Cherished (Personal) Car Numbers before entering Financial Services. He became an IFA in 1990 since when he has advised HNW clients mainly in the City and around London. He specialises in pre- and post-retirement tax planning and has extensive experience in Estate Planning and IHT mitigation strategies including Wills, Trusts and POAs. He is a great believer in minimising tax for clients by utilising all available allowances. His long service as an IFA means that he is now advising the next generation of clients.
He has two grown children and his pastimes include cycling, music and finance.
On leaving school, Kevin spent 4 years training and working as a Chef. He joined the Financial Services industry in 1991 and has now completed 26 years as a Financial Adviser. He has worked for respectable banks & building societies and as a result has built a strong client following through holistic financial advice. His experience gained over the years has helped him specialise in Inheritance Tax & Investments and Kevin believes that this knowledge plus his personal and professional service have been key in building and maintaining long lasting relationships and happy clients.
Kevin is a keen golfer and has been a member of Royal Cromer Golf Club for over 20 years, he also plays lead guitar in a local band
Tracey joined Allen Tomas & Co Financial Management as Office Manager at the beginning of November 2013. Having worked in private and commercial banking for nearly 20 years, she entered the Financial Services industry in 1997 with a local advisory firm. She attained the Financial Planning Certificate in 2001 and joined a National IFA in 2005, working closely with the financial advisers in a compliance function, before becoming PA to the Managing Director.
In her spare time, Tracey is a 1940’s/50’s re-enactor and possesses an extensive collection of original clothing and accessories from the era. She is also a motor racing enthusiast.
Jenny started working in the Financial Services Industry in 2000, working for a large Insurance Company before moving to work as a Paraplanner for a local IFA, where she obtained the Financial Planning Certificate. Jenny has also spent a number of years working as an In-House Pensions Co-ordinator for a multi-national Food Production Company where she obtained a wealth of pension experience and qualifications under the PMI. Jenny is currently working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning with the CII and hopes to achieve this soon.
In her spare time Jenny enjoys spending time with her young family and during the summer months particularly enjoys the beautiful beaches along the North Norfolk coast.
Rebecca designs all our print media and has designed and developed our website. She also handles all our of SEO. Her background is predominantly in local government where she spent nearly 10 years working in a communications team, maintaning websites and intranets, creating and editing graphics, developing social media and handling media enquiries.
Rebecca has, from a young age, always been interestd in computing and technology but is also a keen cook, growing food to feed her family at her allotment. She loves lazy days spent with her husband, two young children and dog.
Lewis joined the company as a financial administrator. This is a progressive route towards paraplanning duties and working towards qualifications within financial planning and services. Lewis developed a keen interest within the finance sector after studying aspects through his previous Business Diploma. This included different investment methods and financial legislation. As oppose to a traditional degree route, Lewis believes developing with Allen Tomas & Co will help him to implement theoretical knowledge better by undertaking relatable practical tasks and procedures.
In his spare time Lewis is very active and enjoys various sports and activities such as football and the gym. He also likes travelling, with Hong Kong being his latest destination.
Chloe joined Allen Tomas & Co as a Financial Administrator in early 2017, after completing a Diploma in Customer Services. Chloe showed an interest in the industry as she wanted a career that allowed progression and the opportunity to learn new skills. She aspires to obtaining qualifications within the financial services sector, in order to become a qualified Paraplanner.
During her spare time Chloe enjoys reading, socialising and spending days out with her family. She is a lover of all animals, in particular pandas!
Daniel joined us in the summer of 2016 as an intern. Currently an undergraduate student, he studies a BSc Economics degree at the University of Birmingham; having previously studied Economics, Business Studies and Mathematics in his earlier education. Daniel has a key interest in the financial sector and through experience in Commercial Finance, Property and Law, he has developed a strong business acumen to accompany his education. Daniel works in our offices during holidays.
During his spare time, Daniel enjoys a wide range of sports including football and rugby. He is also keen to engage in world affairs and writes economics articles for The Worldly Magazine where he is also Deputy Economics Editor.
