Ben founded Allen Tomas & Co in 2013 and is the Managing Director of Allen Tomas & Co Financial Management Ltd. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Pension Transfer Specialist and a fully listed member of the Society of Later Life Advisers. Ben specialises in pensions, investments, long term care planning and holds a distinction in trust and estate planning. He strongly believes in sound holistic independent financial advice, working with client’s professional connections, building loyal relationships with clients and their families through trust, communication, detailed analysis, cash flow planning and understanding.
His passions are his family, his Labrador, good food, the Norfolk coast, innovation in business, snowboarding, tennis and hockey.
Michael is a Director at Allen Tomas & Co and holds the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute “Fellow” and ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ titles, he is also an affiliate member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and an associate member of ‘Resolution’ an organisation specialising in Family Law. He works with Private, Corporate and Trust clients advising on all aspects of Financial Planning. Michael is uniquely placed to help clients through various life stages and support with succession planning for future generations. He specialises in Pensions & Inheritance Tax Planning (holding the CII Pension Transfer Specialist qualification) and his ethos is to build strong relationships with his clients, local accountants and solicitors to ensure a holistic approach is followed, achieving better outcomes for his clients.
Michael is a great lover of cricket and competes to a high standard locally in Norfolk, he also enjoys various other sports including the occasional round of Golf. In his spare time he enjoys long walks with his family and young Dachshunds, Bernie & Digby.
EDWARD W KUBIAKSenior Financial Planner
Edward graduated from Keele University in 1973 with a Degree in Law & Psychology and is fully Level 4 Qualified as an IFA. He worked on the Foreign Exchange (Forex) and traded in Cherished (Personal) Car Numbers before entering Financial Services. He became an IFA in 1990 since when he has advised HNW clients mainly in the City and around London. He specialises in pre- and post-retirement tax planning and has extensive experience in Estate Planning and IHT mitigation strategies including Wills, Trusts and POAs. He is a great believer in minimising tax for clients by utilising all available allowances. His long service as an IFA means that he is now advising the next generation of clients.
He has two grown children and his pastimes include cycling, music and finance.
ANDY MULLIGANSenior Financial Planner
Andy joined the financial advice profession in 1987 after 12 years as a technician in the RAF. He then became an Independent Financial Adviser in 1989 with successful careers at major firms in Norfolk including running his own IFA practices with integrity, and client care being of the upmost importance. Andy is working towards achieving Chartered Status with the CII and specialises in planning areas such as inheritance tax, pensions and investments with consideration to lifestyle planning, retirement management and long term care planning.
Outside of work, Andy a true Mancunian, has been a season ticket holder at Manchester City and travels to see them with his Norfolk friends. He also enjoys cycling, restoring British classic sports cars and being at home with his family.
RACHAEL SMITHMortgage & Protection Adviser
Rachael began her career in financial services in 2011 and has worked within a large Bank, Building Society and a network of successful UK Estate Agents. Her roles have included banking, management, coaching and a fully qualified Mortgage & Protection Adviser.
Rachael, not only has a wealth of knowledge within mortgages but also in the property and estate agency sectors. She is passionate about providing her clients with the best independent advice by offering her services in buying and selling property, commercial loans, residential mortgages such as remortgaging, buy to let, self-build, development finance and advising on financial protection for her clients and their families.
In her spare time Rachael loves long walks with her partner and cocker spaniel Milo and enjoys socialising with friends and family.
MARC WARDFinancial Planner
Marc graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BSc in Mathematics in 2015 and is now working towards an advanced diploma and attaining Chartered status.
As a Level 4 fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser and certified Mortgage Advisor, Marc is able to offer advice in pensions, investments, insurance, mortgages and corporate schemes. With his experience in workplace pensions, auto-enrolment, defined & safeguarded benefits, and hybrid schemes, he has a firm grasp of the pension’s environment for both corporate and individual clients. And, with experience in group protection policies and a keen interest in the business sector, Marc is uniquely positioned to provide a holistic and rounded service to both our firm’s corporate and individual clients.
Outside of work Marc enjoys a good walk with the dog on the weekend, a game of pool or three, and a good sci-fi novel – particularly the works of Asimov and Tolkien.

JENNY BELHAMSenior Paraplanner/Operations Manager
Jenny started her financial services career in 2000, working for a large insurance company before moving into the role of Paraplanner for a local IFA, where she obtained the Financial Planning Certificate. Jenny has also spent a number of years working as an In-House Pensions Co-ordinator for a multi-national Food Production Company where she obtained a wealth of pension experience and qualifications under the PMI. Jenny has a Diploma in Financial Planning and is working towards her Chartered Status with the CII, which she hopes to achieve soon.
In her spare time Jenny enjoys spending time with her young family and during the summer months particularly enjoys the beautiful beaches along the North Norfolk coast.
Chloe is a well respected Paraplanner and joined Allen Tomas & Co as a Financial Administrator in early 2017, after completing a Diploma in Customer Services. Chloe showed an interest in the industry as she wanted a career that allowed progression and the opportunity to learn new skills. She aspires to obtaining Chartered Status with the Chartered Insurance Institute and we will continue to help her with this journey.
During her spare time Chloe enjoys reading, socialising and spending days out with her family. She is a lover of all animals, in particular pandas!
Jon joined the firm in August 2021 having gained experience as both an administrator and paraplanner with firms in Norwich. He joined the financial services industry in 2017 after working for a number of years in a specialised department within a firm of national solicitors, calculating complex schedules of financial loss to aid with the valuation of medical negligence, industrial disease and personal injury cases.
He holds the CII’s Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, along with CII Certificates in both Paraplanning and Discretionary Investment Management and is working towards achieving Chartered Status. He is particularly interested in using cashflow planning as a way of demonstrating how a retirement portfolio can provide a tax-efficient and sustainable income to allow people to enjoy a well-earned and comfortable retirement.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time relaxing with his wife, young son and his recently adopted rescue cat, Chocolate. He is also an avid reader and also has a near-encyclopedic knowledge of rock, metal and punk music.
REBECCA ALLENMarketing Manager
Rebecca designs all our print media and has designed and developed our website. She also handles all our of social media. Her background is predominantly in local government where she spent nearly 10 years working in a communications team, maintaning websites and intranets, creating and editing graphics, developing social media and handling media enquiries.
Rebecca has, always been interestd in computing and technology as well as being a keen cook. She is currently learning Spanish and loves lazy days spent with her husband, two young children and labrador.
TRACEY CANEYAccount Manager
Tracey manages all key accounts in the firm including relationships with professional connections and the client experience through their personal finance portal. Tracey is based in our Fakenham office and joined us at the beginning of November 2013 in the firm’s infancy. Having worked in private and commercial banking for nearly 20 years, she entered the Financial Services industry in 1997 with a local advisory firm. She attained the Financial Planning Certificate in 2001 and joined a National IFA in 2005, working closely with the financial advisers in a compliance function, before becoming PA to the Managing Director.
In her spare time, Tracey is a 1940’s re-enactor and possesses an extensive collection of original clothing and accessories from the era. She is also a motor racing enthusiast.
LEAH BARTLETTClient Relationship Manager
Leah manages the client experience initially and ongoing to encourage continuity and client familiarity. Leah joined us in September 2018 as a Trainee Financial Administrator, having achieved 3 A levels in Business, Economics and Sociology and went on to achieve the Skills Edge National Award for Recognition of Outstanding Achievement and Contributions to the Organisation. She successfully completed her apprenticeship and moved quickly on to further her studies with our internal Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications programme where she hopes to attain the diploma in regulated financial planning.

KIA HENSONClient Relationship Manager & PA to Ben Allen
Kia manages the client experience initially and ongoing to encourage continuity and client familiarity. Kia joined us in August 2019 from school where she was studying her favourite subjects Mathematics and Business Studies, a perfect introduction to financial services! Kia is very keen to develop her knowledge by continuing her studies and qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
She enjoys being outside, active, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures hence her love of travel! She also loves spending time with her dog, Bonnie the Chihuahua.
NADINE SCOLESClient Relationship Manager
Nadine joined us as a Financial Administrator with 12 years insurance experience and a business management qualification. She is very keen to progress through the Chartered Insurance Institute learning programme to further her career within the Company.
During her spare time she likes to spend days out with her young family. Nadine is a lover of motorsport, gardening and nature walking.
SONIA BELLClient Relationship Manager
Sonia brings three years’ experience as a Financial Administrator, having taken a complete change of direction after spending over 15 years in events management. She plans to further her studies to become a fully qualified Financial Paraplanner with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Sonia is also a qualified fitness professional and in her spare time enjoys interval training, kettlebells, swimming and cycling. She loves to travel and experience new cultures around the world, and closer to home particularly enjoys hiking Mountains and the rather flatter north Norfolk coast.
JOSH GREENTrainee Mortgage Adviser
Josh joined us as a Trainee Mortgage Adviser in July 2021 after finishing Sixth Form where he studied A level Economics, Business and Geography. Josh is currently studying for his R01 and CF6 to complete his Level 3 Mortgage Apprenticeship. Josh has always had an interest in finance and the housing market resulting in his choice to become a mortgage adviser.
In his spare time Josh enjoys cooking, attending the gym and spending time with his family and friends .
SOPHIE DREWFinancial Administrator
Sophie joined us mid-2018, having spent a number of years in previous administrative roles. She provides youth and experience to support all members of the office, particularly the existing administration team.
During her spare time she enjoys baking, reading and long coastal walks with her two dogs.
